Thoughts Wandering Collection – Sweet Heart

Hi! Sonia here. If you couldn’t make it to the Scrapbook Expo in Brisbane at the beginning of the month then you missed a wonderful opportunity to see all of the fabulous Manor House Creations products in one place. The stand just looked beautiful and I’m sure all the ladies that were shopping had a hard time choosing what to buy – I know I was in flower heaven when I stood in the middle of the stand! One of the collections on display was the gorgeous new ‘Thoughts Wandering’. Manor House Creations makes it easy for you to co-ordinate your pages with beautiful papers and matching flowers and other embellishments. I had a play with the Thoughts Wandering ‘Beautiful’ paper which makes a stunning background for any project:

Using Manor House Creations products: Papers – Thoughts Wandering ‘Beautiful‘, ‘Sail Away‘ and ‘Elements Die Cuts’. Flowers – ‘Thoughts Wandering Mix Pack’, ‘Oh So Pretty Blue Mix, Springtime, ‘Country Roses Azure Blue and Lemon and Light Green Leaves. Embellishments – ‘Beautiful You Chipboard Words‘ (Sweet), ‘Country Estate Chipboard Words‘ (Heart), Wood Elements Heart Buttons, Wood Elements Flower Buttons and Cotton Tags

The soft blues of the Thoughts Wandering Mix Pack, the Oh So Pretty Blue Mix and the Country Roses Azure Blue work beautifully together and the yellow Country Roses bring a soft contrast to the mix:

SONY DSCThe new Cotton Tags add a fun new embellishment to your creations and the Wood Element Buttons are pretty left in their natural state or are easy to paint as I have done here:

SONY DSCThe Thoughts Wandering Elements Die Cuts are perfect to add layers and dimension to your page and all the hard work is done for you – just push them out of the page and stick them to your project!

As you can see there are so many gorgeous pieces in the Thoughts Wandering Collection to use together and they co-ordinate beautifully with so many of the other Manor House Creations Collections. Have fun creating :)

A bit of Puppy Love – Beautiful You Collection

The new Beautiful You Collection from Manor House Creations is absolutely beautiful and stole my heart as soon as I saw it! I thought the gorgeous mix of soft pinks and yellows would be perfect for this photo of Alex and our new puppy Tyson. I’ve used the ‘In My Thoughts’ paper which has a soft pink reverse side which I used to layer under my photo:

Beautiful you - In my thoughts

Products used: Papers – Beautiful You ‘In My Thoughts’. Flowers – Oh So Pretty Pink Mix, Country Roses Lemon, Layout Pack Natural (large yellow flower) and Light Green Leaves. Embellishments – Felt Doilies Country Estate, Wood Elements Flower Buttons and Heart Buttons, Cotton Tags and Chipboard Words Beautiful You (Love)

A little dab of Gesso on the Wood Elements helps them blend with the colour tones on the page:

The new Cotton Tags are a fabulous way to add texture to your page:

The layout actually uses two pieces of the In My Thoughts paper. One as the background and the other sheet has been cut up to add dimension and texture to the page. First I cut out the floral images I required which were placed on the top left hand side of the photo. Next I cut different size pieces of the reverse side of the paper to create the base of my photo. The first layer was then covered with Gesso and painted using Twinkling H2O’s. A larger piece of the paper was then used as the matt for my photo.

Happy creating :)

Thoughts Wandering Cards by Melinda Thompson

Posted on

Hi there everyone,

I am back today to share with you all some sweet cards I created using the gorgeous Manor House Creations “Thoughts Wandering” paper range as well as their beautiful flowers.  I haven’t added any sentiments to the card as I will wait until they need to be used :)

For this card I have used cut some strips from the “Beautiful” paper and added some Silks Acrylic Paint in Ginger Flower to the background along with some water to spread it out.  Then I added my layers. How super pretty is that gorgeous pink lace flower!

Products Used:

Thoughts Wandering Papers
Vinette – Chestnut
Ornate Frame
French Lace (Pink)
Gelato – Cherry
Country Roses – Cerise

Oh I love the chipboard bike with that cute heart shaped seat…just adorable, I couldn’t wait to use it! I have painted the bike in Silks Acrylic Glaze in Iridescent Gold and then touched it up in places with some more Silks Acylic Glaze in Solar Gold as well as some glitter.  I have also used in my background a Nouveae White feature frame which I have added some gorgeous Twinkling H20’s to it for a water coloured effect.

Products Used:

Thoughts Wandering Papers
Nouveae White Feature Frame
Gelato Cherry
Rustic
Cuties Pies – Orange
Thoughts Wandering Blossoms
Wooden Elements – Bicycle

This was a super quick card featuring two different frames layering one on top of the other. After I added my base papers I got the first frame which is the Botanical Frame, spritzed with some Shimmerz in Pink Stilettos and immediately turned it over onto some paper towel and pressed it down. Then I added the second ornate frame and just added some glitter to the border of it.  I also ripped the end of the Denim Rosette and let it naturally curl for a shabby look.

Thanks so much for stopping by today :)

Family – Thoughts Wandering Collection

Hi , Sonia posting here today using the amazing Thoughts Wandering collection. One of the promises we made our girls is that when we moved house we would get a puppy. Well he is here and boy has he made his presence felt in a very short time! The girls have just fallen in love with Tyson and it’s fabulous to see a strong bond developing between them already. It might even give me an excuse to try more boyish pages!  For this layout I’ve used the reverse side of the ‘Postcards’ paper. Don’t forget to check out the reverse sides of all of the Manor House Creations papers as they are just a fabulous as the ‘fronts’!!
