Little Monsters love parties!

As promised, some more inpiration from the MHC DT, once again using the ‘Little Monsters’ range. We start with a fabulous party card by Linda.

Next, some cute little invitations and a mini card from Nerrida.

And don’t these little (and big) kids look like they are having fun!  This fun layout is from Ria and also uses our MHC  ‘Seaside’ and ‘warmth’ flowers.

And Yukiko had made this ‘Trick or treat’ card using the MHC ‘sunbake’ and ‘by the pool’ flowers, which look so bright & fun, and just a little bit scary!

Have you got any photos of your little monsters that need scrapbooking. The ScrapCake has provided the perfect collection to use for just exactly that.

Have fun!

Summer collection – Flowers for the children

WOULD YOU FEED YOUR CHILD CRUSHED UP BARK?

That is the question I had to ask myself when I read of the plight of one African mother, whose baby was dying from starvation. She peeled the bark from a tree, crushed it up with a little water (probably dirty water) and fed it to her baby. Utter desperation! It brought tears to my eyes as I pondered having to do that for my own little girl.  How would I feel if places were reversed and I, here in the land of opportunity, had no food to feed my children?

Yes, the MHC summer collection is coming soon, so we would like to take this opportunity to show you what we are planning.

FLOWERS FOR THE CHILDREN is an initiative taken by MHC to help those who are suffering and a lot less fortunate than us.  East Africa is entering its 3rd consecutive year of drought. Food and water are desperately low. There is hope though. World Vision Australia are seeking help to provide food, water and medical help on, and within,  the borders of this desperate country and they are already there, providing much-needed help.

We here, at Manor House Creations, want to help. We GUARANTEE a minimum of 15% of all sales of all products that bear this graphic, (hopefully more), to go directly to the World Vision East Africa appeal.  You can do your bit by buying these flowers, each one dedicated to a child who is within reach of World Vision Australia.

PLEASE HELP!

Buy your flowers with a conscience! Promote them in your store, if you have one, or to your scrap friends.  Together, we can make a difference!

Don’t forget….if you see this packaging in you local store, every flower pack you buy, will help a child survive.

We will post the donation made to World Vision, at the end of each month.

If you wish, you too can donate here.

Step x step tutorial by Delaina.

Hello everyone, Delaina here with you today. I would like to share a Step by Step Lay Out that I created using these Beautiful, Manor House Creation Flowers, and The Scrap Cake papers.

Listed below are the supplies that you will need to create this project…

SUPPLIES:

Other supplies Needed…

4 X 6 Photo

Sharp Fine Tip Scissors

Brown Ink

Small Piece of Cardstock (scrap)

Paper Piercer

Embroidery Floss (Light Pink)

Small Piece of Cardboard (from shipping box possibly)

Adhesive (wet glue and tape runner used here)

STEP 1:

Natural Beauty Paper… Cut a 8 ½ “ Circle from the Center and the Fussy Cut the Flower Images from this Paper… Ink the Edges with brown ink

Step 2:

Dear Diary Paper… Cut a 9 ½ “ Circle… Ink the Edges with brown ink.

Step 3:

7 X 12 size—Love Letters Paper—Cut the Images Out as seen Below… I made the pink scalloped piece by using the scallop on the image as a template… then Ink the Edges of all with brown ink

Step 4:

You need a 4 x 6 Photo with a piece of Cardstock and Cardboard for the back, so the photo pops up a little (you could use pop dots of you prefer)…make sure the cardstock and cardboard are smaller that the photo… (the cardstock is acid free to protect the photo)

Adhere all pieces as seen below…

Step 5:

Layer Process Begins…

Full Pockets Paper will be the 12 X 12 Background of your LO… Ink the edges with the brown ink…

Stack the Circles, largest on bottom, and adhere them together, then adhere them to the Center of the Full Pockets Paper.

Add photo and scallop paper as seen below…

Step 6:

Adhere remaining pieces around photo that you was from the 7 X 12 Love Letters Paper…as seen below…

Step 7:

Flowers… Attach flowers using a wet glue in the order as shown in the photos below…

Step 8:

Add the Flower pieces cut from the Natural Beauty Paper as seen below…

Step 9:

Use the Paper Piercer to poke holes in the circle shaped paper about ½” from the outer edge…Just on the top and bottom areas that show and use the pink floss to stitch an outline shape for those areas…

Step 10:

I added a small title under the photo. You may use any Alpha you have on hand, even a little larger one would look great.

I really hope you will enjoy giving this LO a try.

Thanks for having a Look!

Those little monsters!

OK, who has them? Hands up…. Well, we still love them don’t we? So, we scrapbook them, because its those memories that we giggle (or groan) at later.

A few of the MHC Design team have created some amazing inspiration using the TSC Little Monsters range, showing just how versatile this range is. First up, Nerrida had created a layout of her cute little monster.

Products: TSC Little Monsters papers, MHC flowers: The Tropics –  By the Pool, Grandma’s Garden – Antiques.

Next Melinda has used this collection in a totally different way and also altered the flowers with mist. Don’t you love the brown splats – they just remind me of boys and their favourite medium – dirt!

Products: TSC Little Monsters collection, Flowers: The Tropics – by the Pool, Fantasy – Moonlight, Cottage garden – Picket fence.

Another layout by Melinda shows that they are not ALWAYS little monsters, sometimes they are perfectly angelic!

Products used: TSC Little monsters. MHC flowers: Magestic – Gemma, The Tropics – seaside & Fantasy – magic.

And finally, a little monster at play. A layout , also from Melinda, showing how these  papers are perfectly suited to outdoor pages as well.

Products used: TSC Little Monsters. MHC flowers: Grandma’s Garden – sunlit morning, Rose leaves, The Tropics – by the pool & Dusk.

Stay tuned for more inspiration using the ‘Little Monsters’ collection.
