Hi, and welcome,
Today we have something very special to share with you. Our very talented designer JOANNE BAIN has made this beautiful altered bird house vase, for her Mum for Mothers day, and we are very lucky that she has given us a little sneak peak at it before she gives it to her Mum this Sunday.
Jo explains, ‘I used texture paste, distress ink and glimmermist to alter the bottom and the base of the wine glass. I then twisted brown twine around the stem of the glass to create a stand. I have added a small twiddleybitz birdcage to the inside of the glass and added sphagnum moss to create a natural look. So this is basically a birdcage stand but then with the glass being around the outside of the birdcage I was able to create even more dimension.
I then went about creating a full Manor House Vine. I used florist wire and tape to create the vine. Once the vine was constructed I then spritzed with Coffee Shop glimmer mist. Then I wanted really daffodil yellow flowers so I bleached then rinsed some Lime Cutie Pies to make them really white..and believe me they were white. Once rinsed again and dried, I then spritzed them with Sun Sisters Glimmer Mist. I then attached them to the vine.
Products used: Cutie pies-lime, rose leaves small.
Isnt this just divine. Thank you for sharing with us Jo, and I know your Mum is going to love is as much as we do.

Simply gorgeous!
