Hello to you all!
Gwen here today with a layout to share about one of the special guys in my life… No, not my husband, but my pet cat “Hamlet”. He is a big part of our family and has been with us for over 13 years now. I often refer to him as my “old man” but he will always be a Mamma’s Boy
I have worked with a flower template and some Gesso as the base of my flower cluster and then once dried I’ve inked over the with a distress ink to help highlight it from the patterned background. This made a really solid base for my flower feature and set the design for the page.
You can easily add interest to your flower clusters by varying the sizes of the flowers you use.. here I have used the larger Country Lane and Ruffles flowers as features as well as the much smaller Petite roses. Medium sized flowers include Rue, Iris and Whimsy – all delicious!
I’ve softened the look by adding some feature chipboard flourishes and adding a little gesso to the Rue flowers.
MHC Products used:
Country Lane – Pretty, Whimsy – Cream, Rue – Watermelon, Iris – Sherbert
Until next time.
Gwen
