I used the cake stand as a basis for a decorative cakes for my eldest daughter new bedroom which is shaping up to be shabby-chic in style. I loved using the table and chairs with the phone because it just reminded me of the age she’s at – a ‘tween’ and it won’t be long before she’ll be spending hours on the phone talking to friends.

Video: Making Floral Vines ***WIN A PRIZE***

Posted on

Hi, it’s Jeni here with you today to show you a unique way to add Manor House flowers to your layouts by creating your own beautiful, handcrafted floral vines. You’ll be surprised at how easy they are to make and what a gorgeous embellishment they are for your pages.

Following is a list of the supplies you’ll need.

Manor House Creations flowers and leaves- 3 Whimsy flowers (from the Winter 2012 Collection), 3 large leaves, 2 small leaves.

Other: Florist wire – fine, Florist tape, adhesive.

Tools: Small pliers, wooden stick or tool for shaping wire.

Here’s the fabulous vine you’ll create.

These lovely Whimsy flowers from the new Winter collection make a stunning vine. You can easily divide them to make smaller flowers and buds.

I’ve used  just three Whimsy flowers, with three large leaves and two small.

Creating a flower bud.

Here I removed the outer layers of the Whimsy flower, using the base layer of petals to create this smaller budding flower.

Products:  Whimsy- cream, leaves large and small.

Gather your supplies and come and create your own Manor House Creations vine with me.

First up is Design Team member, Joanne Bain, who has created this gorgeous card with such a soft textured flow to it. Here she expains the techniques she used. “I am not really one for the really bright in your face colours I prefer a very subtle colour toning.  I used Angel Wings shimmerz to the dress form as I wanted to keep the natural look to the chipboard. I used Shimmeringz Babys Breathe to add a very slight shimmer to the Manor House flowers.”
