MHC products used: Ornate frame, Minuettes, Tea roses
When I created this layout it was during a bit of a heatwave so I wanted a Summer layout but in cooler colours (wishful thinking maybe?!!). So I chose the gorgeous combination of blue, green and white with a touch of black to bring it all together.
Products used: Papers – Believe Us Together and Lace. Flowers – Colourwash Denim Blues (altered with Turquoise mist), Tea Roses Soft Gold (altered with Gesso), Vinette in White, Poetry in Sage and Light Green Leaves. Embellishments – Flourish Ornate Frames in White, Flexible Words – LOVE in black
The large blue flower is from the Colourwash range and these flowers can be split apart to be used in so many ways! This is the top part of the flower and in the photo below I’ve used another part of the flower as an embellishment at the bottom of my page:
This amazing butterfly is part of the beautiful ‘Us Together’ paper from the Believe Collection.
I previously mentioned how versatile the Colourwash flowers are. The image below shows how the flower started originally and then how it was split apart and misted. The little plastic container is what I popped over the top of the stamens so that they stay white – it saves getting your hands covered in your misting sprays!
Have fun creating!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and that loads of Manorhouse Creations goodies featured in your gifts!
I made this altered shabby box for a good friend of mine as part of her Christmas present. It was designed to be a pretty container to hold pretty things!
Lots of gesso, texture paste, distress stains and trims, but the making of it really was the gorgeous MHC blooms. They are the perfect size and weight for altered projects.

It’s my first post for the New Year so here’s hoping 2014 is a wonderful one for all of us! With all the hot weather around Australia at this time I couldn’t help but play with a beach photo of Isabella and added in some beautiful pink, yellow and white colours to get that fabulous warm Summer feeling.
Products used: Papers – Believe Collection Dreams Come True. Flowers – Colourwash Double Ups in Soft Pink, Floral Mix Arielle and Melissa, Vinette in White. Embellishments – Ornate Frame Scallop in White, Flexible Word DREAM in Black
Now I just adore the Colourwash Flower as it is so flexible. I’ve taken one of the pink flowers and divided into three! I’ve used the top part (with the stamens) in my flower cluster and then placed one of the other pieces above it and tucked it under the photo. The other piece is used under the photo in the top right hand side. One flower goes a looooong way!
So have fun and let your imagination go with all these fabulous flowers! Thanks for visiting
Hi everyone, Sonia here with a layout I’ve created using the gorgeous new Believe paper Collection along with some of the incredibly beautiful new flowers from Manor House Creations.
My inspiration for this layout was from the Ornate Frames which I wanted to group together to make a bit of a mini gallery. As I was using the frames in white (they also come in black), I chose the dark script side of the ‘Butterflies’ paper to help emphasize the fabulous detail in the scroll work:
Products: Papers – Believe Butterflies, Make Believe, Lace & Elements Cards, Flowers: Letters From Paris, Minuettes - pink, Vinette – pink, Vine – Pink, Ornate Frames – Flourish and Gothic, Flexible words – BELIEVE white
I placed foam tape underneath the frames to add dimension to my layout. In order to cut the photo to the correct size, I laid the frame over my untrimmed photo until I was happy with the placement. Using a white pen I traced marks around the outside of the oval frame where I could. I then cut my photo to size cutting just inside the markings I’d made on my photo with the pen.
The centre of my flower cluster was one of the white flowers from the Letters From Paris packs. These are wonderful and soft looking flowers that adds a special touch to your project. The Pink Minuettes add a balance to the cluster and a lovely pop of colour.
I love things to be balanced but not necessarily identical, especially on my flower cluster! On the right hand side I used the gorgeous and very versatile Vinette in Pink but as I didn’t want the other side to be exactly the same, I used a Vine in Pink and trimmed it to the size I needed. Mixing the flowers between the vines helps add interest across your cluster. Don’t be afraid to trim your vines to the size or shape you need and never discard any bits that are left over – they are too beautiful! So keep them to use on another project.
I trimmed some borders off of the Lace paper to create a softer line between the Butterflies and Make Believe papers
Finally my title was made using the new Flexible Words – Believe. These look beautiful by themselves but also mix well with other alphas to create longer titles.
Thank you for visiting us at the Manor House Creations Blog and I hope to see you again soon!
I don’t know about you but I seemed to have left so many things to the last minute this year and Christmas is looming rapidly! Sometimes you want to add a little something special to your wrapped gift so why not add a tag? These are so much fun to do and don’t take long to make (ideal at this time of the year).
Manor House Creations products used: Flowers Floral Mix Krystal, Minuette Pink Mix, Leaves Light Green (Medium); Embellishments Ornate Frame Gothic White
What I love about Manor House Creations flowers is the wonderful quality of them. The paper flowers take altering so well and in this case I’ve used the white Krystal flower and changed it to a lovely Christmas red using paint.
1. Remove the centre stamens (sorry about the photo as this was taken late at night – my usual scrapping time!)
2. Paint the flower your chosen colour and allow to dry
3. If you wish you can change the colour of your stamens. I wanted mine to be white so I dipped them in Gesso:
4. Once everything is dry, pop the stamens back into your flower and play away! I added a touch of glitter to the outside of my petals before adding them to my tags.
Have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy this amazing time of the year
Hi Cathy here, with a LO to share using the new Believe paper range.
I decided to go with a bold colour combo of red, black and green on this page. I started by using the Believe – Make Believe pp as my background, which I altered by masking, stamping and adding some paint splats. I am loving washi tape at the moment, and it always seems to find its way onto my LO’s. I just tore 2 different tapes to match my colour palette and overlapped them around the edges of the pp.
To frame my photo I layered some stamped book paper, diecuts, a tag and a fussy cut border strip from the Believe – Lace pp. I also layered a smaller version on the top right, to which I added a fussy cut butterfly image from the Believe – Elements Cards pp. To tie in with my colour scheme, I painted the leaves and edges of my butterfly with some Luminarte pigments and a little bit of Viva croco crackling
To finish off I clustered a few of the new Spring Collection flowers down the left hand side of my photo. I altered the large black flower from the Layout Pack – Classy by pulling out the staments and replacing with a bling centre to make the flower pop. I find the Vinettes very versatile, as you can keep them whole or cut them up to make them go further.
Product Used: Believe Paper Collection – Make Believe, Lace, Elements Cards, Layout Pack- classy, Minuettes – denim, Mini Blush Roses – soft gold, Vinettes – black,

Hi everyone, Sonia here with a Christmas Wrapping idea. Gift Vouchers are one of those presents that are easy but it’s hard to make them feel a bit more personal and special. So for this Christmas I’m embellishing some envelopes to put any vouchers in just to add that special little touch:
The envelope is from Maya Road and has a beautiful scalloped back
The gorgeous colours of the Manor House Creations Flowers adds to the vintage feel of the envelope:
Products: Believe paper – Lace, Flowers – Letters from Paris, Believe Blossoms Mixed and Light Green Leaves in large
Making the plain flowers from the Believe Blossoms pack is easy and they set off the gorgeous Letters From Paris printed flower perfectly:
1. Take 3 of the cream flowers from the Blossom Pack:
2. Adhere two of the flowers together, making sure you offset the petals. Take your third piece and trim the flower into it’s individual petals:
3. Adhere the individual petals behind you layered flower to add dimension:
4. Finally add an embellishment to the center (I added a pearl) and you are ready to play!
Thank you for visiting and happy creating
