Firstly, Heather, with a bold, and beautiful layout, about a cute little friend

Hello Cheeky 1

Heather shares a little about her layout, ‘I had a lot of fun with flowers and Dylusions sprays in this one. The two flowers on the left are their original colour while I sprayed the flower on the right turquoise to co-ordinate it with the sprays of ink. Spraying flowers to co-ordinate with your layouts opens up so many more options when designing a page. Dylusions tend to completely change the colour of the flower whereas other sprays will sometimes let some of the original colour show through which can produce beautiful results.’

Heather has created this very clever and striking layout, telling what happens in a typical day in her life

16 hours

‘I wanted to do a layout about my typical day. I needed to incorporate a large number of photos so I started playing around with chipboard frames and assembled them in a grid pattern. Continuing with the chipboard theme I took some chipboard flourishes, decorated them with paint and liquid pearls then tucked them around my flower clusters. I thought the Manor House flowers worked perfectly to help frame the whole layout and to soften the grid pattern’.

Well, we hope you have been inspired a little by our creations. Im sure there is something in there for everyone.

A layout and a calendar page

Hi there – I hope you’ve had a great week :)

It’s Linda here today to share a couple of recent creations using the scrumptious Manor House Creations flowers.

First of all for the month of March I created a Calendar page – inspired by my amazing fellow DT member Joanne Bain.

Linda-OTP-Calendar page

Linda-OTP-Calendar page-CUp3

Linda-OTP-Calendar page-CUp4

For my calendar page I’ve used MHC’s Capri Roses/Wild Rose Green/Powder Puff Citrus and Imagine Cocoa.

My second project is a layout scrapping a sweet memory from years gone by…..

This time I’ve used MHC’s Powder Puff Citrus – Red/Dahlia Mini White/Ashlee Blue/Celeste Pink and a Pink Glitter Rose.

I hope you’ll have a chance this weekend to get creative with your beautiful Manor House Creation flowers.

Bye for now….

‘Effortlessly beautiful’ with Karen Shady

Hi everyone, and a big warm welcome to our blog today.

I have had this frame sitting in my cupboard for a long time, not really knowing what I wanted to do with it. Then I got a new photo of my daughter, that I thought made her look very lady like.  She is a farm girl through and through, and these photos of her all dressed up are few and far between, as you can tell by the other 2 photos Ive used, lol, so I made the most of the photo, and created this very feminine, vintage style frame. I am really happy with how it turned out

I cut up an old vine I had lying around, and adhered some of the gorgeous peach coloured mini roses to it.

The beautiful, soft folds of the ’Ruffles’ flower was the perfect addition here

Thanks eveyone for calling in, we look forward to sharing some more inspiration with you soon

Karen x

For the girls in my life.

Hi everyone, Alicia here with you today with some girly layouts to share with you.

The first one is a typically girly layout of my little princess. With two older brothers, it is so nice to have a little girl to scrap, especially with so many wonderful MHC flowers for inspiration.  I adore the Watermelon coloured flowers. They are such a gorgeous shade of pink, and team really well with paler shades too.

Alicia Barry, My Little GirlSee how the black centres of the watermelon Rue flower works in so well with the black spots on the pretty Powder Puff flowers.

MHC supplies used:
Ruffles: brown and pink, Rue: watermelon, Whimsy: pink, Glitter mini roses: pink, Powder puff: citrus mix

My second layout for you today is of our little puppy Penny. She’s such a sweet dog, but it was a nice change to be able to snap this super cute photo of her. She is usually just a blur running around with the kids.  I loved this new paper I got from CHA and decided to use that as my inspiration, and of course, there is always a MHC  flower to match every project, and I love how you can match several different shaped flowers within one colour set. The yellow gives the whole project such a light summery feel.

I have used tight clusters of flowers to create a focal point around my photo, without the risk of cluttering the whole page.

Alicia Barry, Pretty Puppy, Free choice

Small glitter flowers are a great finish to a flower cluster.

Alicia Barry, Pretty Puppy, Free choice, close up 2

Rather than having too many large flowers competing for attention, I stripped down the yellow flowers of its outer petals to create a smaller flower to compliment my top flower cluster.

MHC supplies:
Gelato: lemon, Imagine: light blue, Idyllic: light blue, Rue: white, Apple: blossoms, mini glitter roses:gold, Lotus: divine beauty.
Thanks for taking a look at my projects. Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you think.
Cheers
Alicia
