There are three responses to a piece of design — yes, no, and WOW! WOW is the one to aim for.

SHOWCASING DEW DROPS

Some of you may have seen or purchased our Cottage Garden – Dew Drops flowers. They are bright green with creamy white outer petals and gorgeous for those more colourful and vibrant layouts.

A few of our Design Team came up with these stunning projects using them. First up, this one is from Joanne.

Don’t you just LOVE the colours and layers in this stunning layout? The black touches mixed with the bright blue and vibrant green of the dew drops just catches your eye.

The faux stitching highlights the banner so perfectly.

The layers are just amazing. Wouldn’t this look gorgeous on your family room wall – make a real talking piece. It’s not just a layout, it’s a work of art.

These beautiful little flowers, can be used in a more bulky way by leaving them as is, or you can pull them, push them and stretch them to a much flatter, less bulky flower – it’s totally up to you, as our next DT member, Morag has shown in this adorable little creation. I can just see this sitting on my window sill in the kitchen and wouldn’t any friend just love to get this to make them feel special.

Here’s what Morag had to say about her project she aptly called ‘You’ve got mail’.

I love to make little decor items to go with a card for a birthday or special occasion. We have recently moved house and I got to thinking about new home themed gifts. One thing lead to another and I came up with the idea of a mailbox as I love the shape of them.

My tiny bucket was filled with an oasis before adding the fabulous Cottage Garden Dew Drops. I used hot glue to keep them in place. I also added a Grandma’s Garden Hankechief flower to fill the top.
I always add leaves to a setting as this really sets off any flowers. I use a mixture of rose leaves to give a good contrast. For more texture, remember to give them a little scrunch before adding them to your design.

A tag and some ribbons finish off the piece. Just add your own sentiment.
I hope that you’ll try out your own little decor piece and share it with us!
