Wow, Christmas is over, and how quickly it comes and goes!  So now the time to get those photos done and start making memories. What would be more perfect than the Cozy Christmas papers from The ScrapCake? Here’s what some of our DT girls have done with them and of course, they have used our Manor House flowers as well, and how divine do these look?

A Christmas home – DT inspiration

Hi again, everyone! Are you getting excited (or exhausted) by the frenzy of gift purchasing, shopping, preparing for Christmas?  I know sometimes I get a bit frazzled by everything that needs to be done in order for everything to go smoothly.  Maybe it time to get some ‘me’ time and be a little creative. Once again, some of  DT girls have provided us with some amazing inspiration for decorating our homes for Christmas.

Quick and easy Christmas decor

HI!  Nerrida here.

My kids made the annoucement the other day that our house didn’t look like Christmas…… so I had a brief moment of inspiration and saw that our coffee table could do with a little something.  I made both of these in half an hour each – they were so quick and easy! I urge you to have a go too if you’re house isn’t feeling Christmassy.

TABLE PIECE IN WHITE

I sprayed the centres of the Shimmers – Snow flowers with Mr Huey’s – Calico. The holly leaves are large rose leaves that I cut bits out of to make the holly leaf shape.

It was so easy after that – I just used double-sided foam dots to attach the Silver Bells and Marguerite red roses to the sides, then tucked 2 Taneisha flowers in each side of the Wishes flower at the front.

I really enjoyed making the first one so I had some more inspiration for a second one in teal.

TABLE PIECE IN TEAL.

This time I used the Wishes – Serenity flowers & Sugar and Spice in teal, and also a large doily instead of a cardstock circle as my base.

I loved the vibrant red of the Romance – Sweetheart flower, so I pulled the middle out of it and used it as a smaller flower for a filler.

I hope I have inspired you today to decorate your home for Christmas, to help everyone get into the spirit.

Cutie Pie Christmas Robin

We are always impressed by the amazing creations of Morag and yet again, she has spoiled us with inspiration. Here’s a Christmas feast for your eyes…a Christmas Robin.

If you look closely, it’s actually a Christmas cake and here we can see the bottom layer is made using sheets of paper.

Morag has featured the Cutie Pie – pink flowers – perfect for filler flowers at just 3cm wide, as well as our small leaves.

Some Christmas inspiration

One of our DT girls, Joanne, has created this stunning Christmas mask which would be a real eye-catcher at your place when visitors come.

This photo shows the soft and delicate ‘Silver bells’ flowers with their pretty gemstone and pearl centres.

Joanne has cleverly used the centre of a Ballroom – Tango flower to give her mask a bit of flair.
