DT inspiration

Our designers were given free reign, to create whatever they wanted, using whichever flowers and goodies they liked. They let their creative juices flow, and have come up with some stunning creations to share with you today.

DELAINA has combined the Scrapcake papers along with some MHC Party lights and Sprinkles, and come up with this delightfully bright and happy layout, which compliments this adorable photo perfectly

Step x step with Delaina (revised)

Hello,

Its Delaina with you today. Thanks for taking the time to check out the step by step canvas I created this month. Manor House Creations make it easy to produce a beautiful project.

* * *

1. The first step is to paint a thin coat of cream acrylic paint over your canvas, and allow it to completely dry.

2. Cover a mask with modeling paste. I have used a scrolly mask in each corner, and have only covered portions of it in a few places. Allow to completely dry.

3. I have used pink, beige and green paint here. I simply used a small paint brush and smeared streaks of the color onto the canvas. TIP: If you feel you have added too much color, paint over those areas with the cream paint you started with.

4.  Add a 4×6 photo, after popping it up with pop dots.

5. Attach the beautiful Manor House Creations flowers with liquid glue.

6.  I then fussy cut some flowers and leaves from the Scrap cake collection ‘One moment in time’, I then adhered those aroung the flowers as shown

6. Add some butterflies, and your title, and you canvas is ready to frame.

Products used: MHC Marguerite-mocha, Beauty-off white, Merangue-pin, TSC-One moment in time.

I hope you enjoyed this step by step as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Happy Scrapping!

Step by step with Delaina

Hello Everyone! Delaina here today with a step by step layout. I created this page using the gorgeous flowers from the Summer collection. I am in love with each and every one and I know you will be too.

I created this page using:

* Country Lane Charm,

* Blossoms – Airlie, Byron & Esperance,

* Cutie Pies - Pink.

 I want to show a little paint technique on this page using a few colors of Puffy Paint…
I then used this MS Punch and punched the scalloped shapes..2 White and 2 Yellow. I then adhered the yellow to the white as seen below…
I used the Little Yellow Bicycle, Elizabeth Lane Collection….Cut the Grey paper 4″ X 12″ and then the Border Title Strip…
You will need a 5″ White paper Doily, Pearl Blings,  Journal piece cut from the LYB paper, Floral with Vine cut  from the LYB Papers…
Follow the steps pictured  below to place the Products on your LO… I used 3 small photos…
The Next thing I added to this page was the Paint Dots…I randomly used the colors to accent the flowers…an easy step that makes a statement with colorful detail…
After adding the paint, I felt it needed a little more detail so I added the journal piece next to the photos, the Butterflies and scalloped white Lace under the title border strip….I accented the Lace with Pearl Blings and then added a piece of Twine just above the Pearls…
Now it feels complete to me…

Introducing Delaina

Delaina was asked to be part of the team not only because of her talent with design, her skill with fussy cutting and attention to detail, but also because she teaches techniques and step x step projects by video. We hope to show you one very soon – stay tuned.

My name is Delaina Burns. I love all things crafty and have as long as I can remember. I make draperies and bedding from home, part time, and scrap my nights, and weekends away. I live in a small town in Alabama with my husband of 27 years. I have 2 children, both of which are pretty grown up and preparing to leave the nest soon. I have a new kind of life approaching, so for therapy, I plan to play with gorgeous flowers, beautiful patterned papers, buttons and trims of all kinds. I have been scrapbooking for 5 years and have been fortunate enough to be on many different design teams and had several magazine and ezine publications. I adore teaching and turning others on to this craft that brings me so much pleasure. I feel blessed and excited to be included on this fantastic team.
