‘The canvas was a great opportunity for me to try painting, misting, stamping, embossing, adding modeling paste, again misting and so on.

I have misted the Eternity flowers with Starburst mist, and added Shimmerz paint on the dark ones, Idyllic Burgundy and Imagine Burgundy.

also I added some vintage elements to complete the project about how busy a woman can be. For some dimension I added pearls on the woman’s dress to extend the design of it’.

Focus on green – NEW FLOWERS!

OUR NEWEST FLOWERS…..

Hello , and a big welcome to our blog.

It is spring here in Australia, and the birds are singing, and the flowers have just started to open up after a long, and cold winter. The thing I love most though about spring is all the greenery. Everything is growing so fast, and the grass, and the leaves on the trees are just starting to grow again after the winter, and everything is a wonderful shade of green. Today, we want to share with you some wonderful spring inspired layouts, featuring, yes, you guessed it, green! Green flowers can add such a fresh, prettiness to a page, just take a look at these.

“Winter Song” Inspiration with Erin Blegen

Hi there! It’s a new month and a new week, and I hope that wherever you are~ BOTH are treating you well! I’m very excited to be here with you today because I get to share a little inspiration featuring some of the fabulous “Winter Song” flowers from Manor House. Let me tell you, these blooms are HARD to beat! They are the perfect size for taking center stage on your layout- and they are just FULL of texture. AND I’m going to show that you can use not one, but TWO of these amazing flowers on a layout.

“My Angel”

I’ve combined both the Winter Song “Snowbell” and “Log Cabin” flowers to make up the majority of my main cluster. If you’re looking for “fullness” on a layout, this is most definitely the way to go!

I’ve added just a touch of gesso to the “Log Cabin” flower, to help it meld with the rest of my layout. I was really going for a “white washed” look here, and by applying gesso throughout the elements on my project, I was able to create a softy, dreamy effect to compliment my photos.

These “Imagine” flowers layer so nicely! Perfect for tucking under photos or under each other.

Layout ‘My Angel’ by Erin Blegen.

Products Used:  Winter Song- Snowbell & Log Cabin, Solitude, Imagine- Light Blue & Cocoa, Country Lane- Raindrop (center).

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope I’ve inspired you to get working with some of these beautiful Winter Song flowers yourself!! Take care and have a great day~

DT Inspiration featuring ‘The Scrap Cake’

Hello, and welcome once again to our blog.

Today, we are excited to share with you some wonderful creations from our Design team, featuring the papers from The Scrap cake. Notice how perfectly our flowers match the colours of these papers.

This coupled with the checked pattern in the Scrapcake papers gave it a boyish feel, which were then perfectly complimented with the ManorHouse Creations flowers’.

Welcome new DT – Erin and Tiffany

It is with great pleasure that we welcome 2 more talented designers to our team.

ERIN BLEGEN

Hi! My name is Erin Blegen and I live in rural Northeast Minnesota, USA. There my hubby Josh and I make our home in a little cabin in the woods along with our 3 beautiful children. We enjoy anything the outdoors has to offer and we live a fairly simple lifestyle that most people would not choose (no running water for starters lol)- but it’s a good, quiet life and we like it that way :)
I first started scrapbooking back in 2007 when my first child was born, completed one album, and then quit until July 2010 when my second child was born. Since then, I haven’t looked back! In that time I”ve discovered my “style” which generally includes lots of beautiful layers, flowers, and distressing. I’ve also recently expanded my interests into cards and altered projects, which I’ve quickly fallen in love with! I’m a bit of a paper and flower collector, love to work with chipboard, and experimenting with different mediums. I’m super excited to be joining the team at Manor House Creations! You can find me at my blog: My Scrap Cabin.
