There are three responses to a piece of design — yes, no, and WOW! WOW is the one to aim for.

It is with great pleasure that we welcome the incredibly talented LYDELL QUIN as our Guest Designer for June.

“Hi- I am Lydell Quin.  I have been scrapbooking for 10 years now and still enjoy it!  (Nice to be able to say that!)  I co own and run The Color Room, (a colour challenge site) and am a Shimmerz Educator and Designer and I also Design for Helmar.  I have 3 little people ranging from 9 down to 13 weeks and they keep me busy, and give me plenty to scrapbook!  Luckily my DH enjoys the outcome of my art and has been known to keep children occupied so I can finish something I have been working on.  We are from Adelaide, Australia.  Its lovely to be able to play some more with these Manor House Creation goodies!

Thanks for having me!”

We are thrilled to have the amazingly talented Trudi Harrison grace us with her talent this month and as she is also a Design Member of The Scrapcake, she has her very first project to share with us using some of the papers and, of course, some Manor House flowers, on this gorgeous little dressform. Just take a look…

Hi, Trudi here with a little altered project to share with you all.

It is currently Autumn or ‘Fall’ for our OS friends here at the moment.   The colours of the leaves about my place are glorious and I have taken some colour inspiration from them for my following project.

It is our absolute pleasure to have the immensely talented  TRUDI HARRISON as our guest designer this month. We have already seen a fabulous dressform created by Trudi and now we have some amazing layout to share…her style is so unique, it just grabs your attention.

THW - Beauitful_sm

I love it when you look at photos and you can’t help but smile or laugh! I find photos of children are often like that, pure joy on their faces as they enjoy the wonders of life. This photo of Isabella is one of my favourites – the camera has caught her at a moment of pure happiness and it sure is catching!
The gorgeous background on the Thoughts Wandering ‘Beautiful’ paper provides a perfect backdrop to your photos with it’s neutral tones

I have used some mists over the page just to highlight the soft blue around the paper and in the flowers and a splash of beetroot colour to pick up the pop of colour from the Country Rose:

MHC Anything is Possible - CSI rs

Hi Everyone,

As some of you may know, I am on the Design Team for Colour Stories Inspiration (CSI).  This week’s Color Stories Inspiration Challenge 137 was such a pretty colour palette, I just couldn’t resist adding some Manor House flowers to my layout.  Here is my interpretation of the challenge.

Anything is Possible

You can watch how I created some of the pages in the video below.

Hello everyone. I have a mini album to share with you.

MHC_June 2014_Sweet Beautiful You

Hi Lovely People,

Trudi with you today sharing something created from the THOUGHTS WANDERINGcollection where the emphasis is on ‘beautiful’.

The larger design element was first fussy cut from the the ‘Sail Away’ patterned paper and then popped aside.  It was later tucked in along the bottom of the photo.

To create the base of the layout – The ‘Postcards’ paper was trimmed and then affixed over the top (lighter side up) of the Sail Away paper. Before attaching add a little distressing to the edges.

Some background altering was added with a 12 x 12 mask and Lindy Stamp Gang sprays. When dry, a little white Gesso was randomly swiped over the top of the misting.

Hello everyone. Tiffany here.

I have a layout to share with you. I used the gorgeous new collection Thoughts Wondering. This collection has gorgeous colors and perfect for lots of different types of projects.

Here are some more photos of the layout.

When I first opened my parcel with the new Manorhouse Creations collections in it I couldn’t believe how gorgeous everything was (I was lucky no one was around to video the happy dance I did!). I must admit that the ‘Beautiful You’ collection made my heart melt – perfection! So my first bit of creating had to be with this amazing range :)

Products used Paper Beautiful You Collection – So You and Journal Sheet; Flowers –Denim Rosette (light), Country Roses in Ivory and Azure Blue, Springtime in White and Vinette; Embellishments – Ornate Frame Regency in white and Wood Elements Heart Mail

The new Denim Rosettes are so soft and pretty and come in a variety of tones of blue and some patterns as well!

Hey everyone, how are you all going?
I am here to share with you a layout I created for the Maja Design March moodboard challenge.
I have also used some BEAUTIFUL blue and white flowers from Manor House Creations and The Flying Unicorn also carries a wide variety of these flowers HERE
I finally got around to scrapping this photo of my really good friend Georgia Heald, taken in November of last year when she stayed with me and we went to Hedi Swapp’s class together. It was such an awesome time. She flew up from Tasmania and stayed with me for a couple of days and after speaking online all these years it was great to see we connected in real life as well.

Its a “hi’ from Trudi and a quick share of some mini drawers dusted with tons of beautiful MHC flowers.
