There are three responses to a piece of design — yes, no, and WOW! WOW is the one to aim for.

Goodmorning, we do hope you are all having a fabulous weekend, no matter where you are. Maybe you are lucky enough to be having a creative, scrappy weekend, and if so, then we have the post for you. Our new design team girls have been hard at work, and have created some truly stunning projects to share with you today…

Elena has created a wonderful, mixed media style layout, and has given the flowers a soft shabby look, by randomly painting some GESSO over them.

This next, delightfully cute layout is from Yuka.

TIP: If you need to fill a small space, try removing the outer petals from the flower, as Yuka has done here with the pink Whimsy flower.

‘Darling girl’ Layout by Yuka Hino

MHC flowers used:  Finesse, Whimsy – baby pink, Rose leaves – large, medium and small.

Next, Gwen, has used a mix a moody mauves and blues, to scrap this stunning photo of her daughter.

‘She holds the key to my heart’ Layout by Gwen Wruck

MHC flowers used:  Fantasy – Moonlight – altered: misted with Glimmer mist, Jubilee – Royal Purple, Sublime – Aqua, Idyllic – White – altered: outer layer removed.

And, last, but certainly not least, Joanne, has created this wonderful, masculine layout, in her very own, unique style of scrapping.

Notice how the button added to the centre of the ‘Mittens’ flower, adds a masculine touch.

‘Genuine’ Layout by Joanne Bain

MHC flowers used: Winters song, Mittens.

Well, we hope we have inspired you enough today, to drop the washing, and lawnmowing, and get into that scrap room and create.
