There are three responses to a piece of design — yes, no, and WOW! WOW is the one to aim for.

Finally, after months of planning, searching for products and importing goods from all over the world, its here!  Our first Spring Collection.  Feast your eyes on some of these…

Well it seems Australia is quickly taking up the opportunity to welcome an Australian flower manufacturer into their hearts and shops. We have been open officially for 24 hours and the account requests are piling into out Inbox. Wonderful!  We can’t wait for you to try our products!

We too, are proud Australians, which is exactly why we have named part of our range after our beautiful and world famous Whitsunday Islands, such as these (and I have to admit they are my personal favourites!)

 ‘With You’ by Trudi Harrison.

Don’t you love this bright combination, which is part of  The Tropics range from theGetaway pack and also the Islander pack.

Hi, its Alicia joining you today, with a layout to share with you, featuring the gorgeous ‘Winter Collection’ flowers for Manor House Creations.

We recently attended a wedding which was the perfect opportunity to get a rare photo of the Grandparents and Grand kids all dressed up. Formal layouts are such a wonderful opportunity to use flowers as they add a real touch of elegance, and careful colour selection can really help set the tone of the layout.

In my layout- “Family is a gift”, I used a large maroon flower from the Winter’s Song-Embers set from the 2012 Winter collection. I love the little silver tips on the stamen. This instantly set the mood for my layout.

I then teamed it with a range of pink, brown, green and oatmeal flowers to draw out the colours in the patterned papers to complete my page.  I stuck to mainly neutral and pale tones to create  my formal feel rather than bright bold colours.

Hello from Elena. For this LO I decided to change the background a little bit by adding modeling paste layers , and  the stencil. Then I misted it with grey and moos Starburst mists and added some mica. I was playing with 2Crafty chipboard by changing them with Gesso and some embossing powders. I adore using different techniques on embellisments and was very pleased with the experiments.

It’s the Grand Opening of Manor House Creations very first Australian agent.

Live 4 Scrapbooking is a new shop that has just opened their doors in Penrith, N.S.W.

Here’s what the manager Gillian has to say, “Our goal is to create a Scrapbooking store like no other in Australia.
We will stock a great number products that are not commonly available around our location.
Great customer service and knowledge of the products we sell.
Also a large range of classes for anyone.”

Hey everyone!  This month we are sponsoring SCRAP AFRICA .

Hi! Sonia here. If you couldn’t make it to the Scrapbook Expo in Brisbane at the beginning of the month then you missed a wonderful opportunity to see all of the fabulous Manor House Creations products in one place. The stand just looked beautiful and I’m sure all the ladies that were shopping had a hard time choosing what to buy – I know I was in flower heaven when I stood in the middle of the stand! One of the collections on display was the gorgeous new ‘Thoughts Wandering’. Manor House Creations makes it easy for you to co-ordinate your pages with beautiful papers and matching flowers and other embellishments. I had a play with the Thoughts Wandering ‘Beautiful’ paper which makes a stunning background for any project:

Hello everyone. Tiffany here. I have a fun mixed media canvas to share with you.

You can watch how I put it together in the video below.

Here is a few more pictures.

MHC - Beautiful Smile rs

Hi everyone, Cathy here with a LO to share created with some of the flowers from the Winter 2014 Collection and the new felt doilies.   The bones of this LO was created a while ago and was the inspiration for a Canvas class that I taught.  I have had it sitting in my pile of projects for a while and thought I would finish it off using some of the gorgeous flowers from the Winter 2014 Collection.

Love Your Beautiful Smile

These pretty girly papers were a perfect match for the gorgeous chantilly lace flower and country roses.

MH - Country Estate - Sweet Smile rs

Hi everyone, Cathy here, sharing a LO created using the beautiful Country Estate collection.  This paper collection has a matching sheet of diecuts, and also has a range of gorgeous flowers and chipboard pack to tie in with the papers.

To create this LO I used both sides of the New Day pp and punched some strips of the green side of the Birdsong pp, then layered them to create my background.

I have framed the photograph with a mix of flowers combined with the black rosette ornate frame which I cut up and tucked in amongst the flowers.

MH - Valentine Cards blog

Hi ladies, Cathy here,

I have a set of 3 cards which were created a little while ago, but was unable to share until now as they were published with Australian Cardmaking Stamping and Papercraft Magazine.

I thought I would show you how you can make a few quick and easy cards with a 6 paper pad and product from the Manor House Creations.

Here are 3 cards I created, using MHC Flowers, Ornate Frames and Flexible Words.

Love You Forever

Hello everyone. Tiffany here. I have a layout to share with you.

I used lots of different mediums to create this layout. I love brown tones as you can see here. I love to use sprays and paints to color the flowers to match my projects.

Well the retreat is getting closer and closer now and we are all geared up for it.  We have some scrapbooking superstars joining us and some beautiful creations for you to make in the classes…and so we kick off with one of our super-star teachers…TRUDI HARRISON and here is the sneak peak of her class layout, which YOU will be making if you’ve signed up for her class.

toilet sign new

Hi everyone and welcome!

I created this for my Hairdresser, after us getting talking about the fact that she had a toilet in full view, but no one knew where it was.  I offered to make her something a little more special than an ordinary sign, and here it is….

Hi everyone!

The retreat is now just 4 WEEKS AWAY!!! WOOHOO!!!!

And the lovely BECK BEATTIE is one of our fabulous teahcers. Here is the sneak peak of her class layout, which YOU will be making if you’ve signed up for her class.

ADDITION!  ..Beck has just told me that she will show you how to ‘girl’ this layout up too, if your photos are more feminine. Extra flowers will be on hand if you choose to go that way with your layout.

Yep, our vines are just climbing off the shelves…ok, well they are disappearing FAST!!! Every store seems to be ordering them and we almost ran out at the expo!  And we can see why…they are just so easy to work with, and our Design team girls can show you how.

Nancy has used hers here as a base to build upon and add more flowers too, underlining the main photo. She has split in into 2 pieces to make the leaves pop out both sides of the arrangement. SO pretty.

Hello again. Well so many of our Design Team have commented on our little SWEETIES flowers – how much they love them and how useful they are, but of course, an old favourite is our mini roses – we constantly get requests for ‘more please’ because, well, let’s face it, they are just so darn useful!

Nancy has showcased both these very sweet little flowers here in these 2 projects in beautiful soft glowing colours of mauve, pink and creamy white. Take a look a these dreamy projects and see what Nancy has to say.

First up, a delightful little girls princess Castle book.

Hi everyone! As you know, we are the Australian & New Zealand distributors for The ScrapCake. So we love to share some of the projects that Nerrida does for her Scrapcake Design Team position. Today, she has shared with us this gorgeous shopping list idea. I’d love this hanging on my fridge!

Lots of fussy-cutting here…

MONIKA MARTINSON has created a lovely layout using soft, subtle tones of blues and browns, perfect for the theme of her page about coming out of the winter into the beginnings of the Northern Spring. She has given gentle highlights to her page by adding in some lemon Fairy Floss.

Our latest flower release ‘Party time’ isbright, glittery and all things fun, just perfect for creating birthday layouts, gifts and cards, if fact its perfect for any type of party. Our team of talented designers have created some wonderful examples of how they have used the ‘Party time’ collection. I hope they inspire you to pull out those party photos, grab some of our flowers, and create.

JOANNE BAIN has created these gorgeous little gift boxes. Here she tells us all about them,

‘I have created a raspberry & liquorice cupcake topped with a gorgeous hot pink Birthday blossom and then made a super sweet goodie box topped again with another hot pink Birthday blossom. They both have a small tag that pulls out so that you can write your birthday wishes or anything else you wish to write. To give these flowers a bit of extra dimension I have placed small square 3D dot under each petal.’

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.

Nerrida and Karen are here today , to share their layouts using the gorgeous new ‘One moment in time’ collection from The Scrap Cake.

Karen says: “I love shabby chic style layouts, and found this collection perfect for my style, the papers made it simple for me to achieve the shabby look I was after. I have used lots of distressing, and  inks,

and I got to do some fussy cutting also, which is one of my favourite techniques. I am quite happy with how it all came together. Of course, I can’t take all the credit,  the stars of the show are obviously the beautiful Manor House Creations flowers that match so perfectly with the collection. Oh, and 2 of my gorgeous boys, Jack and Harrison”.
