There are three responses to a piece of design — yes, no, and WOW! WOW is the one to aim for.

This month Manor House Creations has joined with the creative talents of the team at The Color Room. For the month of April, Manor House Creations  has been proudly supporting The Color Room team. This is week number four, with some of the girls from our design team as featured guests.

Here is this week’s palette #108

Hi All!

It’s Linda here to share some Manor House Creations love with you

When I’m paper crafting I love to alter boxes – whether to use as gifts or to keep for myself.

The box I’m sharing with you today is being put to good use in my daughter’s bedroom…..

I’ve combined these gorgeous Manor House flowers – Royalty-Duchess; Sublime Aqua; Jubilee Coronation Cream; Sublime Baby Blue and Poetry White. The Manor House leaves have been coated with gesso and then spritzed with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist for a beautiful shine.

MHC Blog - Most Beautiful View

Hi Everyone,

Hi everyone, Cathy here.  Today I am sharing a LO created with the new Wandering Thoughts collection, teamed with some of the gorgeous new flowers and frames.

The Most Beautiful View

To create this LO I decided to alter the reverse side of the Wandering Thoughts-Journal pp with a coat of watered down gesso to soften the purple colour into a mauve.  I then added a coat of gesso with a sponge diagonally across the paper.  Once dry, I used texture paste to mask over the gesso with a doily stencil, then misted and inked over the masking to define the doily pattern.

Today, we have  a little something for everyone, from pretty pink and soft pastels, beautiful shabby chic creations, to rustic browns, and blues, in a gorgeous masculine layout from Tiffany.

This first, pretty in pink layout was created by the very talented Trudi Harrison. Combining an array of soft pink flowers, with the adorable images in the ‘Sweet Childhood’ paper collection from The Scrapcake.

Happy Sunday everyone. We hope you are having a wonderful weekend, wherever you are, and whatever you are doing.

As promised, we are back, with another colour loaded post. Featuring some amazing, and colourful layouts and cards from our talented designers.

Elena has used a wonderful bold mix of teal, yellow, brown and pink flowers, for her stunning layout.

Elena has added  splashes of coordinating paint to some of her flowers, to tie her whole layout together.

First up, we have this fabulous layout from MONIKA and don’t you just love the A4 turned on its side.

We have received some stunning entries for our October sketch competition and we just have to share them with you.

Firstly, here is a little inspiration from one of out DT girls – Melinda.

I love making Easter cards as the vintage feel seems to suit the celebration perfectly! I had a play with some of the gorgeous Manorhouse Creations flowers and Believe Collection papers to create these two cards:

For the Happy Easter ‘Bunny’ card I used the beautiful ‘Letters from Paris’ flowers that fitted in perfectly with the vintage Bunny image:

Blog MHC - True Beauty

Hi everyone, I have a LO to share which was inspired by the gorgeous indigo flower from the Layout Pack – Fabulous.

True Beauty Lies Within

I was playing around with flowers from my MHC stash and loved the contrast of the jade green vinette with the large indigo flower.  I created some flower clusters with these 2 vibrant flowers and softened them with a few white minuette blossoms and the blue and white Ashlee flower to blend in with my mixed media background.

HI everyone!  Ok, well we were thrilled to bits with the entries we got for last months sketch competition. A big thankyou to everyone that entered.  We will announce the winner of the prize pack in a few days. So here is the November one and this month, the prize is a beauty!

HI everyone…Nerrida here.  We certainly saw the popularity of the MHC kits at the last few shows we’ve been to, so I thought we might just share a few of them with you, so you can see what they are like. We’ve had such tremendous feedback in emails and comments to us at the shows, and customers were buying 3 and 4 of them – arms full, telling us how they bought some at the other shows we were at and they loved them so much, they wanted MORE!

So here goes with just a few….

Hi there!

It’s Linda here today to share with you a couple of Card Gift Boxes I have created ready to give this Christmas.

I love to give away my handmade cards at Christmas time and these clear gift boxes are perfect to spruce up with some gorgeous Manor House Creations flowers

all ready to be filled with my cards and matching envelopes.

We have come to an end of our introductions of our 2012 – 2013 Design Team.

So, lastly, we are very happy to introduce 2 very talented designers to you

A big welcome to

Yuka Hino

People usually tend to reserve flowers for girly layouts and cards only. But, who says that we cant use flowers on boy projects too. I personally have five children, four of which are boys, but flowery layouts are my absolute passion, and why would’nt they be, with all these beautiful MHC flowers available.  But there are only so many layouts I can create of my only daughter, before the boys start feeling left out, and start complaining, so I have had to learn how to combine my love of flowers, with my need to create  more masculine layouts.

Below, are some examples of ‘not so girly’ flowery layouts, featuring our gorgeous boys.

Karen has used this cute paper range, and created a summery, garden setting.

Hello to everyone! Hope you’re having a great week. So, are you feeling creative? If not, Im sure, after seeing these wonderful cards, you will be.  We have some wonderful things to show you, from our talented design team ladies.

First, here’s a cute little card from Heather incorporating some of our packaging from the World Vision series, and she has also cleverly re-coloured some of the rose leaves to suit the theme of the card.

It’s that time….we can’t believe nearly 12 months has passed so quickly, but its time to put out the call for our next amazing Design Team for 2012-2013.

Welcome to Manor House Creations on youtube! It’s Jeni here and I thought for something a little different I’d make a video of my photo wallet gift created using Manor House products. First, Let me first tell you a little about the making of this video.

If you’re like me and don’t like your own voice on tape, that’s the first big hurdle when making a video. I don’t really sound like that do I? As always, it seems the first run through is always the best. But it’s not a good look when your dh who’s taping has your feet showing in the frame. lol What was he thinking! So you continue undaunted.

Eight goes later, after the neighbours’ dogs had a fight, the phone rang, the kids called loudly that you were ignoring their hunger, you stumble over your words, your dh sneezes, you call a bone folder a boning knife… you laugh at the absurdity and you finally finish! LOL.

I hope you enjoy my video and have a fun time creating your own photo wallet. It makes a great gift to keep all those little pics.

Watch “Manor House Creations” on YouTube here.

 Here are few photos too.
